Electrical Testing
Any tenancies starting after 1st July 2020 will be required to have a satisfactory Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) before the tenancy starts. Existing tenanted properties must have a valid satisfactory EICR in place before 1st April 2021. Landlords are not only responsible for having an EICR, but also for carrying out any remedial works to ensure electrical safety.
